Anyway, so I won the coolest giveaway from one of my favorite bloggers Caitlin Wilson Design: Style Files. So what did I win, you ask? Just a Storyboard Room Design!! Still got questions...just check this out!
So I decided to have her help me redecorate one of our guestrooms. The "green" room for those that know my rooms. Basically, we decided to do that room b/c that's the one that currently gets used the most for guests and it will eventually become a nursery (one day). I have done very little to that room since we moved in. It currently holds my queen sized bed from PB. And has a very simple white duvet cover and a khaki color piping.
Black bedside tables that are actually my old living room end tables from Target. And we have nothing on the walls except a painting my parent's got us a couple Christmas's ago of Cape Code. And the walls are painted a celery green paint color. Snooozefest!
So I kinda mentioned (above) the fact that this will become the nursery sometime in the future, so with that in mind I really wanted to design it in a way that it would be easy to convert. I've never been a huge fan of making the nursery uber baby-ish. Here are a couple pics to give you an idea of what I'm thinking...
Do these look like a nurseries to you? I mean minus the crib, not really, huh? So what I really want to do is to simply switch out furniture when that time comes...
One of the pieces I've had on my shortlist was to reupholster a chair I got from my grandparents...I have yet to take a pic of it but it looks kinda like this...
And this is what I plan on recovering it with...
I had the hardest time deciding...I'm not totally in love with the gated pattern since I really wanted something more geometrical and modern, but the color was excactly what I was going for a silvery/grey.
I'll keep you all posted on the progress!! xo

I know where those bolts are from....MaryJo's!! I've got to get down there soon!
