New Year!

Boy I've been MIA!! Where to begin. Well, a lot is going on in the background for both Mason and I, but can't really say just yet, but I'll be sure to update soon. No, not a baby;-)

I did want to tackle the new year, new you approach!  I've never really been one to have resolutions or stick to them for that matter. But there are a few things I'm trying to improve on as we start this new year.

1.) Work out regularly (again) and eat better. I've gotten "soft". I ate horribly over the holidays and haven't been to the gym consistently since...well...hmmm  before our wedding! No wonder I gained all my weight back, funny how it works that way! And I'd like my clothes to not feel so snug anymore.

2.) I want to be a better friend. This means communicating better. Outside of emails, facebook and texting. Picking up the phone and connecting on a regular basis. This includes sending a hand written note to two friends or family members a month and not just thank you notes.

3.) To be more positive. Not the whole zen like approach. But the whole I've got Jesus in my heart approach. So I can be happy and content in my life as it is TODAY. I'm so quick to complain and whine about life. I throw in the occasional..."We are so blessed!" or "The Lord provides!". But I very rarely live out what I say. I need to actually BELIEVE it and reflect it in my life...everyday.

4.) To stop being so judgemental. I am a critic of myself and of others and honestly it stems from jealously, which stems from being happy and content in my own life, see #3 above:-)

5.) To have a childlike faith. Not a childish faith, but child-like. Who believes in Christ with a simple heart. One that believes with everything they've got with zero doubt, fear or reservations.

What are yours??
